I admire all the millions of people around the world that decide on the 1st of january every year is the day they choose to live happier & healthier. Gyms get packed, weightloss products fly off the shelves..and then february comes, that spark & drive seems to go down then 3 or 4 months in, that epiphany they had is now non-existent. It's cool though, I am one of those people..but this year I will try to break the trend & push on! I will, I will, I will..I have to! :)
First of all, women! Never do it for the men! I saw this episode on some show where a man was asking a woman "when you took off your clothes in front of your husband, did he get up & leave?" of course not, he cares but he really doesnt, they all don't..so if anything do it for yourselves, whether its for that sexy dress you saw in the mall or energy you desperately need to get through the day..DO IT FOR YOURSELF!
I am doing it for my health, right now according to my BMI calculator thing, I am Obese..I've always been around 180lbs..to get to a normal healthy weight which is proportionate to my height I have to get down to 149lbs to get to normal weight..so that's 31lbs to loose..ugh! 30 is so far away lol
Anyways, it is day 5 of my weight loss process, & so far the highest I weighed myself at on the first day was 182lbs..and today the lowest I've gotten down to is 175lbs..7lbs in 5days, not bad! I always feel like the first few pounds are the easiest then when you get midway to your goal it starts to almost be stagnant & not move at all! So heres to being cautiously optimistic!
I've tried not to change to much of my lifestyle so that my weight loss can be realistic & I can feel like I can do it. here's a list of things that I feel has helped me thus far :
1) I got myself an mp3 player (4gb $36 thank u bestbuy) & loaded it with heaps of music to get me pumping through my workout (Mohombi great workout songs from him)
2) 30mins on the elliptical 2 times a day, first thing in the morning & last thing before shower & bed
3) Green Tea, full of antioxidants & a fat blaster so I heard
4)NO soda (been drinkin no soda since 2010 so proud of me!)
5) No unhealthy snacks, which means in with the yogurt out with ice cream, just not having snacks around the house (saves me $$ too)
6) more more more H20!
and so far that's been the changes I've incorporated into my lifestyle..nothing too crazy, & I can feel the effects with my energy level & I don't wake up with an extremely painful back so far & I love the feeling of sweat before a nice shower, makes for a great sleep!
All I can say now is I hope I have the will power to continue what I have been working on & pray not to flake out over the next weeks..this will be a test of my will power & motivation as I countdown to better health!
